The Still I Heal Project
Healing childhood trauma, one survivor at a time

Choosing Differently Group Coaching Program
From Survival to
Intentional Living
You survived your past. Now it's time to discover who you want to become.
For many survivors of childhood emotional abuse, the patterns that helped them survive don't simply disappear when they become adults.
You might suffer from people-pleasing, perfectionism, difficulty setting boundaries, feeling responsible for everyone else's emotions, questioning your worth and staying in relationships or situations that no longer serve you.
These patterns may have protected you once. But they don't have to define the rest of your life.
Choosing Differently is a forthcoming 12-week, trauma-informed educational coaching program created by Dr. Angela Solic, founder of the Still I Heal Project. Through guided reflection, practical strategies learned in asynchronous online course materials, a private social community, and live, supportive learning experiences, participants will explore how their past may be influencing their present and begin developing the awareness and skills needed to make more intentional choices.
You do not have to blame yourself for the ways you learned to survive. You can recognize that you have choices now that you may not have had then.
Once you know, you can choose differently.
Is Choosing Differently Right for you?
You may have built a successful career, raised a family, or created a life that looks perfectly fine from the outside.
But inside, you may still be carrying beliefs and behaviors that developed long before you had the power to choose differently.
This program may be for you if:
-
You experienced childhood emotional abuse, criticism, neglect, or chronic family dysfunction.
-
You recognize that your childhood experiences still influence your relationships, parenting, work, or important life decisions.
-
You struggle with people-pleasing, perfectionism, over-functioning, or constantly questioning yourself.
-
You find it difficult to establish boundaries without feeling guilty.
-
You recognize unhealthy relationship patterns but aren't always sure how to change them.
-
You've spent much of your life meeting everyone else's expectations and are beginning to wonder what you actually want.
-
You're ready to move beyond simply understanding your past and begin practicing healthier, more intentional choices.
You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin. Choosing Differently is designed for adults who are willing to reflect, learn, practice new skills, and take an active role in shaping their futures.
The program helps you discover who you can become when survival no longer has to make every decision.

Choosing Differently is an educational and coaching program, not psychotherapy or a substitute for professional mental health treatment.
